EDDIE VEDDER donates to MONSTER SESSION

On Saturday the 19th March, the 3rd annual Monster Session was held at the Manning Bar, Sydney, Uni.

Monster Session is a benefit show for Multiple Sclerosis, featuring bands from the 80’s and 90’s.

Monster Session has raised $45,000 for Ms Australia in its first 2 yrs.

Chrissy Amphlet of The Divinyls donated her school girl tunic to the 1st year’s event.

Monster Session organizers, Glenn Koek of Zombie Dog Entertainment and Graham Bowditch of Outback RnR, invited Eddie Vedder along to the show since he was in Sydney, so he could catch up with one of his old mates, Ross from the Cosmic Psychos whom was playing at the event.

The following day, Eddie invited myself to his solo show at the State Theatre and told me to get there early as he wanted to have a chat before he went on stage.

On arrival, I was ushered back stage to meet up with a grinning Eddie.

He began to say that as he has lost someone very close to himself with MS and as he has been blessed in his own life that he would like to make a contribution to all the hard work that has been put into the shows.

Eddie then handed over $5,000 cash, of his own money to go towards the next Monster Session.

This is a moment I will never forget! What a truly wonderful gesture from an absolute top bloke!

“CAN’T FIND A BETTER MAN”

Monster Session will be heading to Melbourne this year for the 1st time.
